Unexpected Technical Bloopers
For this particular project, I forced myself using one flash unit for my sessions. This was the first time for me learning this process using a light to sync with the camera. Little did I know that there were a few steps that I missed without even knowing it at all.
I was living in the city of savannah during this project and my first session was done in Jacksonville, NC. With that being said, I didn’t know what the outcome would be until I developed my first roll of film. Before I even scanned the film, I noticed a particular line running across the edge of the image. Right then and there I knew that something wasn’t right. My first concern was that I thought there was an issue with my camera. Maybe the shutter wasn’t working? Is my camera broken? Eventually I figured it out. I learned a hard lesson.
It is vital to take the time and practice procedures before one should start a major project or assignment, especially before considering traveling to other states. Technical issues will always come up and even to this day, I know that even though this was the first time that happened, it surely wasn’t the last. I’ll be posting more examples of my complacent bloopers.
